The first step in our financial management process is simple – open conversation. There must be a mutual understanding of future financial management directions. Legacy Wealth Management must understand your specific needs and goals and then convey our investment strategies and planning philosophies. We can then gather basic information about your current financial status and establish future goals.
Once we have this information we can then develop a mutual agreement of our plans going forward. We will put together an outline of how your investments will be structured and how these investments will fit into your financial portfolio.
The next step in the process is to gather assets. We will open accounts and transfer funds to Legacy Wealth Management’s custodian, Raymond James Financial Services. A Client Service Manager assists with all paperwork. Our goal is to have as much completed as possible prior to meeting or sending it to our clients. We are sensitive and aware of each client’s tax situation and prefer to transfer all securities to your new account without being sold. This eliminates any tax consequence. We also make sure to gather as much cost basis information before placing any trades in the account.
Now we can begin building the client’s investment portfolio. Every client is given the option of accessing their accounts online so that they can view specific details at any time from anywhere. We also link our investment accounts to our financial planning interface so that client’s can see how transactions impact their future goals. You can even link accounts not managed by Legacy Wealth management – such as mortgage and credit cards. This provides our clients with a complete picture of their financial portfolio.
At Legacy Wealth Management we understand that financial management is an ever-changing and evolving process. We monitor economic trends and the market itself. We also stay in communication with our clients to receive updates on any changes in their financial and personal lives. Then we will adjust the allocation of the client’s portfolios and their underlying securities.
